Back from camp!!!
WoOoO~ so miss the camp! the 5days 4nights just pass by so fast. how i wish i could stay longer.
Miss my campmates and Jill the instructor.

Day 1-Expect the Unexpected

Reached Punggol Jetty at 7.30++. Hazim was there already. Went to find a spot with him to put down our 1000kg bag. Wait for awhile, more people coming in. NCC came in. they cam in in 2buses. WOW! Took attendance and board the bumper boat. I told hazim, once we board it, there is no turning back. But we still board it! I saw shocked when I reached there. It looks so dam abandoned! And I thought that we are going to sleep inside the creepy and down looking rooms.

Put down our bags and sat according to our watches. My watch was name AMUNDSEN. I couldn’t pronounce it well and don’t know how to read it as well. So I anyhow read it. More and more people coming into our watch.

Introduced to our watch instructors and our instructor was JILL!

Did ice-breaking and stuffs. Went to the cook house and separated our food into how many days. And had lunch.

After lunch our first activity was the Aladdin map. I was feeling dam pressured up there. Many eyes were looking at you down there. Must shout:

Jinhui: “Amundsen are you ready?”

Amundsen: “Amundsen ready, amundsen pull”

Jinhui: “Jinhui falling”

Amundsen: “Fall on”

Second activity was Belaying. As I had done I lots of time, so to me was kind of easy. After that was tent pitching. The tent pitching was dam easy! U just need less than 5mins to pitch one tent up. After that we had dinner. Dinner was rice! Woo! We had rice for dinner. First time we had rice for dinner at camp, but we have to cook ourselves.

Wash up after dinner and we sat down to discuss about building our raft for tomorrow as the PM was coming and we didn’t want to disgrace ourselves in-front of him. After that was lights out! Headed to tent and sleep!

Day 2-Just Do It

Woke up and wash up. Did PT. a slack PT. went for kayaking. Did the capsize drill. And played catching with Jill. Her kayak was a single person kayak with was more easy to kayak and turn around. But in the end we caught her. Haha. Lunch and followed by rafting. Tied here and there. Jill tested our raft. Than,

Jill: “Amundsen are you ready?”

Amundsen: “Ready”

Jill: “STEADY NOT?”

Amundsen: “STEADY LA!”

Set our raft out into the sea. Saw the PM and we raft to campsite1. heard that our faces appeared on the news!! Reached, explored around campsite2. did our tent pitching. Dinner than wash up. Played a game call zook. A puzzle. Managed to finish it. Had supper. Debrief and went to sleep.

Day 3 -Together We Will

Woke up, wash up. Had PT with the other group. Went for breakfast. After that was HRC. As it was raining, only 4 peeps attended the inverse tower. And so we went into the indoor HRC. Lunch and trek back to campsite2. although it was raining, it took us less than 20mins to reach campsite2. reach there and stone there. It was raining for 3hours, and we sat outside our store for 3hours. Did not go to our “campsite” to stay over night there. Had dinner, debrief and went to sleep, did not pitch tent as it was flooding. So we slept at the cook house. DAM COLD MANS!

Day 4-Nothing is Impossible

Woke up at 5.15! set our to sea at 6.30! kayak around Ubin! I did not finish kayaking it. I was not feeling well. I have a very bad sea sick. A lot of people went into the sea and pee! They could not bear with it! Haha! Sad la! I did not finish it!

Back to campsite2 at 3.30. it was earlier as we expected. Wash up and dinner. Went to pitch tent. Had our night walk. At first I thought it was going to be very scary! But it turn out to be very lame. But had fun la. Haha. Had our own debrief and went to sleep.

Day 5-Back to reality

last day already. Really really don’t wish to end camp.

Woke up, wash up. Morning and our ever last PT. breakfast and packed up our store. Wash the tents. Had real dam lots of fun! After that, we went to put our bags . Did our shopping.

Went to the cook house. Had our own reflection. It was the saddest moment during the camp. A ball of twine was being thrown around. When the ball of twine reaches you, you must say how your feel and what you have learn. Upon hearing what my campmates had said, heatness started to fill up my eyes. As it goes on, a web was created. Hais. At last. Everyone had their say. Jill said hers too, she took out a scissor and cutted it away. At that time I could not take it. Tears rolled down my check like tap… did our commitment activity. At that time I was still sobbing.

Mass debrief and had ice-cream. And a story was read to us. The title named: I WANT TO GO HOME. But I don’t want. After that , watches boarded the bumper boat and headed off to mainland. While my watch and tanzing was the last 2 to get to the jetty. Sad feeling la. Don’t wish to go home…

Bumper boat came and board it, memories of the past 5 days filled my mind. Reached main land, said our last goodbye to campmates. Each of us went our own way.

I board hazim mum’s car and went home. Need to rush down for NCO’s BBQ.
